Analysis

The director A R Murugadoss again presented an interesting plot that differs from regular mass movies - an agent of the IB (spy person) vs. a serial killer. Anti-terrorism activities and IB surveillance methods have not been addressed previously on the Telugu film screen. By placing them as a backdrop, Murugados wove a script that gives us the impression of a simple action drama, but it has more than actions to offer.

The film sets the story straight - what the hero does (he is not an IB officer but works unofficially in the department to operate the telephones.) Shooting on public telephones is illegal, but IB in place this wing to counter terrorist activities), how it comes face-to-face with a serial killer.

Although the romantic track at the beginning is a pause, all the first half is told in riveting.

The 30- to 40-minute episode of heroin using women watching the TV series Varudhini Parinayam for nab the criminal hiding in their neighborhood is a good idea, but as the advancement progresses, the loss of logic appears. In most of the sequences here, the policemen act as a mere spectator or blindly follow the orders of the hero, who does not hold any rank in the IB department or the police. This sequence should have been treated with more logic because it occupies a major execution time during the second half.

If the second half is better, it would have transformed into a satisfactory action animator. After the end of this long sequence, Hero comes face to face with the villain and then two long episodes of action - a penultimate and a climax battle occur, but they prove predictable.

After such a good start, Murugadoss himself lost it. There is a good message that men and humans are more in sharing and loving buttons on social media than sharing humanity in real life. As humans and humans lose humanity, these inhuman serial killers are lagging behind. This message comes in the final sequence, but it comes more as a forced than an organic one.

Mahesh Babu has proved several times that it harmonizes well with the role of cops or intelligence officers with a slender attitude. The role of Shiva is a little different for him. Mahesh, one of the best star performers, has the role and gives fascinating performances, it is neither a role of policeman nor a character of espionage. Mahesh should be commanded to attempt something different in the kind of action, although he has not really come out well.

Rakul Preet Singh as medico has nothing to do but serve the usual romantic trail. His is a badly written character. S J Suryah as an evil terrorist is a surprise. This is one of the best performances in a negative role for a long time on the Indian screen. He is very menacing and possessed him. Priyadarshi, Mahesh Babu's friend, adapted well.

As far as the technicians are concerned, the master camera Santosh Sivan is absolutely brilliant, he has lent the film a touch of class. Sivan has left its indelible mark with clear and clear faces. His work is particularly fascinating among technicians. Among the songs, "Miss Mysterious" and "Ciciliya Ciciliya" are catchy and well struck. Harris Jayaraj raised the film with his perfect BG score. As a writer and director, A R Murugadoss showed his mark in some episodes, but his general writing became monotonous.
